Company Background
- SIA ZTF “AERKOM” was founded in 1992. On June 12, 2018, Ervīns Blumbergs became the Chairman of the Board.
- On January 18, 2019, the company was registered in the Scientific Organization Register and values its scientific organization status.
- The company continues research in subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic aerodynamics, as well as applied studies for turbojet engine development using magnetohydrodynamic effects.
- Research also focuses on efficient and environmentally friendly electronic waste sorting and processing. The scientific team actively participates in conferences, and Chairman Ervīns Blumbergs is currently pursuing doctoral studies at RTU.
- SIA ZTF “AERKOM” collaborates with leading Latvian universities, including the University of Latvia and Riga Technical University, conducting both scientific and applied research.
- To secure research funding, the company participates in ERAF, LZP, and other competitions, with project proposals prepared by a volunteer group of scientists.
- Since June 1, 2021, the company has been participating in ERAF Project No. 1.1.1.1/20/A/139 “Sustainable technology development for electronic scrap recycling to recover precious and non‑ferrous metals.”
